Packed and the Paris leg

It took me a whole day to pack. A whole day!!! At least 6 hours of my life I will never have again but hopefully I have all the right things. It’s was very tight getting everything due to the sleeping bag. It led me to thinking how much emphasis we put on “stuff” – which when it boils down to it, most of it I could live without. But just don’t want to…

Yesterday was travelling and staying in Paris, which I can honestly say for the first time I started to relax. I arrived mid afternoon to a warm welcome at the hotel, went exploring then had dinner in a fab little Vietnamese place two doors away. an early night

Today was a less relaxing trip to the airport – a ticket that didn’t work caused me issues getting through the barriers. Then I managed to wedge myself in the turnstile much to the amusement of onlookers. Then the airport shuttle isn’t running so an extra train and bus resulting in a confused Sue arriving -still in good time I may add – at Charles de Gaulle. Through passport control I found I needed to get the monorail to the gate and sincerely hoping at this point that there is a cafe or wine bar on the end of it. About to board now so stay tuned for the next updates from a different continent and hemisphere.

À bientôt!
